I am a passionate Data Scientist and R-Developer with a Ph.D. in Economics and more than 10 years of experience in R.
From 2009 to 2014, I was working for the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs, SECO, where I redesigned Switzerland's quarterly GDP estimation process.
For several years, I was teaching and researching at the University of Basel, at Brown University, USA, and at the University of Trier, Germany.
Between 2000 and 2004, I wrote about 100 articles on business and economics for Basler Zeitung, a Swiss newspaper.
My thesis on the economics of population growth has won the Faculty Award for the best thesis in economics at the University of Basel in 2007.
At the Study Center Gerzensee, I completed a one-year doctoral program in macroeconomics, microeconomics and econometrics.
